I have been training with Felisa for over eight months now and have seen an incredible improvement in my mobility. I have a bone condition and then I had an accident 3 years ago resulting in a limp and limited movement in my hips, through the muscle strengthening and personalised work outs developed by Felisa has improved my posture, the limp is less pronounced and my mobility is noticeably improved. I have had a personal trainer in different gyms for the last ten years but have not experienced increased mobility so concluded that my body was just not going to improve. Felisa works on an individual client need basis and through her hard work and training plans I have seen an improvement in my quality of life. I have been training with Felisa since Jan 2014 and I give her all the credit for the fact that today I look forward to going to the gym. Her deep understanding of fitness reflects in her unique style of training.

Felisa’s dedication to her work has been extremely inspiring for me. She makes sure she tortures you in small manageable segments and before you know it, you would be doing 150 jumping squats interspersed with 10 sets of walking lunges, before doing 60 leg curls and after 60 leg presses. To cool down, she might ask you to do a hundred ballet moves. And that’s only half the session. Writing about it seems more intimidating than actually doing all that, and that’s a true testament to her as a teacher.

Her approach challenges your mind but respects your body. Before I started training with her, I used to have very frequent knee pains whenever I would run consistently, go on hikes or even when I would do regular exercises like squats or deadlifts. Felisa diligently worked with me to strengthen my quads and hamstrings so that these muscles can support my knees. It took some time, a little patience and a lot of hard work but it worked and today my knees feel perfect. Not only that, I am now aware of how I should lift, walk, run and exercise so that my knees are safe.

Her training method is fun, effective, unique and inspiring. It is not a mechanical process of doing reps. She focuses a lot on activating the various muscle groups so it’s impossible to cheat (trust me I tried!), and you see the benefits even with lighter weights. She makes you aware of the proper way of doing exercises and of paying attention to each move and each muscle group. I can’t thank Felisa enough for her patience, skills, knowledge and friendship!

Over the last five months I have spent training with Felisa, she has proved an excellent level of professionalism, vast knowledge on training and a great amount of enthusiasm that she brings to each session! It is not an exaggeration to say that training with Felisa has been life changing. Having suffered with a chronic connective tissue disorder for nearly a decade, in considerable pain with limited movement, I was incredibly nervous about any kind of exercise. Previously reliant on at least weekly physio to be able to move at all, I now have confidence in my body again.
